A conference on social justice and political involvement
Think Twice is a conference which aims to convince people they should be actively involved in changing the world for the better. If you're interested in how ordinary people can be engaged in making a difference — or sceptical that they can — then Think Twice is aimed at you. Come and surprise yourself!
The third Think Twice conference will take place on Saturday 20 March 2004, in the Winstanley Lecture Theatre, Trinity College, Cambridge (here are some directions). It will include many exciting workshops, discussions, and talks -- details below.
If you would like to come to Think Twice, please contact us and let us know:
The conference is reliant on donations to run, so we encourage contributions from those attending. Our suggested amount is £4 (to be paid on the day) for those registering in advance, or £6 if you register on the day. However, we stress that all are welcome, so if you can't or prefer not to contribute, please come anyway. (If you'd like to make a larger donation, this too will be much appreciated.)
We strongly encourage you to register in advance if you know you're coming. It's essential that you do so if you want to come to dinner or to make use of the creche.
The conference will run from 10am-6pm, with registration from 9.30, and breaks during the day. The dinner afterwards will be at about 6.30. The timetable is not yet firm, but here is a rough running order, subject to revision.
The first Think Twice conference took place in March 2002. Details, including transcripts of some of the talks (recording and transcription kindly supported by Zoonami), are online. The second conference took place in March 2003. Transcripts will be put online when they become available.
